In the first rays of the morning sun, there stands Jiading No.1 High School of Shanghai facing proudly to the east.
Jiading No.1 High School was established in 1926. In the course of its 70 years, great changes have taken place, but “diligence and industry” –the good tradition of the school ---has been passed of from generation to generation. In Jan. 1958, it was among the first, which were identified as the key high schools in Shanghai; in 1987, it became a senior high school and is Sept.1999, it was removed and rebuilt, and thus its has become a boarding senior high school. The school has gained great achievements with its graduates working throughout the world. In the 1960s and the 1980s, its was an advanced unit in the field of education in Shanghai In 1986 and ever since 1997, it has been a Model Unit identified by the Municipal Government. In 1997, it was appraised as a Model School of Behavior Specification in Shanghai.
It is such a vigorous school that all the members, including over 1,600 students and nearly 200 staff members, are going all out to run the school well with all their wisdom, so that it is to become a modern school of first class at home and reputation abroad with its distinguished feature and high quality.
